Ton Koopman in the NTR ZaterdagMatinee with Bach

On Saturday 14 March 2026, Ton Koopman conducts an all-Bach programme at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam as part of the NTR ZaterdagMatinee. Performed by the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, the programme features Orchestral Suites Nos. 3 and 4 and Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 3 and 4.
The NTR ZaterdagMatinee is a weekly concert series at the Concertgebouw, also broadcast on the radio, and is internationally renowned for its distinctive and adventurous programming.
In this programme, the orchestral suites reveal Bach at his most monumental and dance-like, while the Third and Fourth Brandenburg Concertos highlight contrast, virtuosity and chamber-music clarity. In Ton Koopman’s approach, these works are given space to breathe: transparent, energetic, and rooted in a deep historical understanding of Bach’s musical language.
The concert starts at 2.15 pm at the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam.
