Special Broadcast of Vrije Geluiden this sunday: Ton Koopman

This Easter Sunday 4th of April, there will be a special broadcast of Vrije Geluiden on national Dutch television. The complete program of the show will be dedicated to Ton Koopman.

Ton Koopman is a famous conductor, harpsichord player and organplayer and specialist of early music. He is renowned for completing all Bach Cantates into a wonderful 67CD box. In the programme of Vrije Geluiden on the 4th of April, presentator Melchior Huurdeman is at home with Ton Koopman in his beautiful house to celebrate Easter. Aspects of his musical life and his future projects with his Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and Choir will be important topics. You will see Ton Koopman play the harpsichord and the organ from his own study. Ton Koopman will elaborately tell about his musical passion and his need to collect historical literature.

This will be a very special show in honor of a wonderful musician that means a lot to the early music scene.
